Dr. Ali is a radiation oncologist with Northside Radiation Oncology Consultants, located in Atlanta's Northside Hospital, where he serves as the vice chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology. He is also the physician director of the hospital's High-Dose-Rate (HDR) Prostate Brachytherapy Program. Additionally, he serves as Education Lead of the Georgia Prostate Cancer Roundtable (GPCRT).

Dr. Ali graduated (cum laude) from Emory University prior to earning his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in radiation oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a fellowship in prostate brachytherapy at the Seattle Prostate Institute.

Certified by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Ali has special expertise in using brachytherapy to treat men with prostate cancer, as well as in treating patients with breast, lung, colorectal, and head and neck cancers. He uses a variety of advanced modalities and therapies, including:

- Prostate brachytherapy, including both high-dose-rate (HDR) and low-dose-rate (LDR) brachytherapy
- Prostate stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT)
- Barrigel® rectal-spacer placement
- Stereotactic body radiotherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), including LINAC-based SRS
- Deep-inspiration breath-hold (DIBH) technique for breast cancers
- Accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI)

Dr. Ali practices primarily at the practice's Midtown location at Northside Hospital Cancer Institute. He is also affiliated with the Northside Hospital locations in Atlanta, Cherokee, Forsyth, and Gwinnett.
